Why Brisbane?

Queensland's lifestyle scene spans Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and it's known for friendly, well-run venues — three dedicated clubs within an hour of the CBD, plus invitation-only house parties. Warm subtropical nights and a relaxed, smart-casual culture make it an easy scene to step into.

Swingers clubs in Brisbane

Taboo22 — Loganholme, the beginners' favourite

Just off the Southeast Freeway at Loganholme, open Friday and Saturday nights. The club lists 8+ themed bedrooms, a staffed BYO bar, a spa, a massage room and lounge areas. Bookings are essential and taken by phone; the dress code is smart casual, and phones are not allowed inside the venue. Local regulars consistently name it as the easiest first night in Brisbane, though some newcomers find it hard to break into established groups without bringing friends. Some nights are themed (including gang-bang nights), so check what's on before a first visit.

Mike's Place — Slacks Creek

A dedicated swingers venue in Slacks Creek, open Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm. It describes itself as aimed at the 18–45 age group without excluding older guests. It runs as a BYO venue; single men need to book ahead on Fridays. Reviews from regulars are mixed: some love the quieter, mingle-first feel, others found it too quiet.

Encounterz — Ipswich

A council-approved adult lifestyle club in a heritage building in the Ipswich CBD, open Friday and Saturday nights. It runs regular newbie nights ("intro to swinging") alongside themed parties. BYO with mixers supplied; men need a collared shirt and closed shoes, and single men must book.

Hosted house parties

Madisons runs house parties in Brisbane's south-east suburbs for couples, single men and single women, with a stated age range of 30 to late 60s — a good fit if you're over 45. Other organisers run invitation-only house parties across SEQ: you apply, and single men usually need to send a photo first.

Couples, singles and first-timers: where to start

Most Brisbane venues are built around couples. If you're a single man, always book ahead and check the door policy for that night. For a first visit, pick a newbie night (Encounterz) or a regular night at Taboo22 rather than a themed party, bring your own drinks, and remember that a look around with no plans to play is a perfectly good first night.

  • Book first — Taboo22 and single men everywhere need a booking.
  • BYO — the clubs are BYO; mixers are usually supplied.
  • Dress smart — smart casual; no thongs or boardshorts.
  • Discreet by design — your identity stays yours, on CheekyRoo and at the door.
