Swingers accommodation in Australia

What actually exists, what doesn't, and how to plan a lifestyle getaway without relying on rumours.

Search for "swingers accommodation in Australia" and you'll find long lists. Most of them are directories, booking sites or old forum posts. We checked each place against its own official website in October 2026, and the honest answer is short: Australia has one dedicated lifestyle resort event, plus a handful of adults-only and clothing-optional stays that are discreet but not swinger venues.

The lifestyle resort takeover: Passion in Paradise

Passion in Paradise describes itself as "Australia's only Lifestyle Resort take over event". For several days a whole secluded beachfront resort between Cairns and Port Douglas is reserved for the event, with themed parties each night and workshops. The resort is clothing optional during the event.

  • Who it's for — heterosexual and bi couples, plus single women. Attendance is by invitation: you apply first.
  • Booking — once accepted, a non-refundable deposit secures your place. At the time of checking, the next dates were listed as "TBA".
  • Where to look — the event's official website, passioninparadise.com.au.

Some lifestyle groups also organise occasional resort takeovers and cruises for their members. These are announced inside the groups themselves, not as public bookings, so we don't list them here.

Adults-only and clothing-optional stays

These places welcome adults only, and some are clothing optional. None of them says it is a swinger venue, so treat them as a discreet, child-free base for a getaway, not as a party.

PlaceWhereWhat its website says
Turtle Cove Beach ResortBetween Palm Cove and Port Douglas, QLDAdults-only beachfront resort with a private clothing-optional beach. Explicitly welcomes the LGBTQIA+ community and allies.
GingerNut FarmCawongla, Northern Rivers, NSW50-acre farm with camping, a cottage and a studio. Clothing optional; listed as adults only on its official booking page.
Noosa Cove Adult RetreatNoosa Heads, QLDFour self-contained apartments for adults only, welcoming singles, couples and honeymooners, LGBTI-friendly.
28 Degrees Byron BayByron Bay, NSWSeven-room boutique guesthouse, adults only. Some booking sites call it a "swinger retreat"; its own website doesn't.

What about swinger caravan parks and B&Bs?

We didn't find any Australian caravan park, B&B or holiday house whose own website says it is swinger-friendly. Some places that appear in older lists have closed or have no website any more, and one adults-only caravan park states that it is not a nudist camp or a swingers hangout. If a listing only exists on a directory, assume it is unconfirmed.

How to plan a lifestyle getaway

  • Start from the club, not the hotel — most of Australia's scene happens at clubs and hosted parties. Pick the club night first, then book a regular hotel nearby. Our city guides list the venues.
  • Ask before you book — if a place matters to your plans, email or call and ask what its policy is. Rules change, and websites aren't always up to date.
  • Respect the venue — an adults-only or clothing-optional stay is not a play venue. Keep play private and follow the house rules.
  • Mind the law — nudity is only fine where the venue allows it, on private property. See our guide to the legal status of swinging in Australia.
